Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communication.
Scope of Position:
Candidate will apply advanced mathematical and analytical methods to help Manufacturing solve complex problems and make better decisions
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Identify and define complex manufacturing problems
Collect and organize data from a variety of sources
Gather input from workers involved in all aspects of the problem or from others with specialized knowledge
Examine information to figure out what is relevant to the problem and what methods should be used to
Use statistical analysis, simulations and/or optimization techniques to analyze information and develop
practical solutions to problems
Make recommendation regarding the impacts of various courses of action in order to address a problem
Write memos, reports and other documents to outline findings and make recommendations

Bachelors Degree in Science or Engineering field (preferred) AND Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics or equivalent.
