Position Summary:
The Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking outstanding applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
We offer a supportive environment for early career investigators to develop NIH-funded research projects, with extensive opportunities for collaborative research on large on-going epidemiologic studies and consortium-based initiatives.
We encourage applications from candidates with experience carrying out multi-omics research of aging-related conditions, including chronic kidney disease, cardiometabolic disease, and dementia syndromes, in large clinical and population-based studies.
Qualifications:
PhD in genomic epidemiology, bioinformatics, statistical genetics, or a related research area or an MD with training in multi-omics and clinical research. Additional qualifications include post-doctoral research experience, demonstrated potential to establish an independent research program, and interest in collaborative research.

The Department of Medicine plays a significant role in the education of medical students, internal medicine residents, and specialty fellows throughout their years of training.
